Mid-Missouri Model Bridge Competition

The Jefferson City Chapter of MSPE hosts a Regional Model Bridge Building Competition each spring

• Each contestant will design and construct a basswood model bridge conforming to the contest rules.

• On the day of the contest the model bridges will be loaded until the point of failure.

• The winners are determined on their model's structural efficiency

  • ​(maximum load held vs. the weight of the bridge)

• The top two contestants competing in the High School Division are eligible to compete in the International Competition.
